Nice New Vid Of C-130J For India

Will be at the IAF’s Hindon air base on February 5 for the induction ceremony of India’s first C-130J. We’ll cover it live on Headlines Today as well. Will post details a couple of days before the event.

  1. Shiv,
LM handed over the first C-130J to IAF officially in late Dec 2010. But where it is now? Why did it take time to reach India? I read somewhere that the plane is with US-AF? Why should the plane be with US-AF? Why can't the IAF fly it to India in the first week of January itself?

Is the delay because of paper work like tax issues? Or the delay is to install the electronic military technology in this plane?

What is the guarantee that CIA will not bug the plane?

  2. Noob question – It would be interesting to know what sort of inspections/quality control checks are made on the customer side (India in this case) upon Hand Over. I am sure there must be a team of IAF engineers that check the plane for any defects?

  3. oh please shiv, stop this.

IF POSSIBLE WRITE A COLUMN ON WHY WE COULD NOT PRODUCE THE SAME/SHAME THE GOV. PROVIDE SOLUTIONS!

but please stop this role of marketing guy to US firms
