46-Minutes, 9G In A Rafale

Just did a 46-minute sortie in a Rafale at Yelahanka, and have been informed that I’m the first Indian civilian to fly in the fighter. I flew with a Dassault test pilot. Photographer Vishal Jolapara has taken some truly stunning pictures of my flight, which I’ll post shortly. And I’ll post in detail about the flight later tonight.

  1. Lol, good personal experience,

And they got what they want Few minute on news channel. good going at least i can watch first news about AERO 2011.

It is on a prime time or @#*% it is taken up by Arushi case or 2g scandal.

  2. As the Gripen NG does not exist yet (still a nice paper airplane for now), it won't compare to any combat proven airplane like the Rafale before a long time…

  3. lucky you ….guess next exclusive will be a flight on Tejas.
Is there any news – i mean real news – on the Kaveri? Any idea on the deal with Snecma ?
I think thats the important need of the day for indian aerospace and journalists should be looking at it closely.

  4. CONGRATS MAN….dats truly amazin…
I remember d day wen i flew ma first solo on a single piston aircraft.. I felt on top of d world!!… but your is above all on top of every dreAm…
Well how did u cope wid d G'ss?!!… hehe

  5. Shiv you know that there will be many new projects and technology shown in AeroIndia and there is a very little you have updated. I know you were busy in getting your self preparing for the Rafale flight, which is grate. But people who couldn't come to Aeroshow are really depending on you, so please don't disappoint us with only a little information. We are waiting….

  6. @ shiv….u got a real good photographer….some of his work on a.net…

@vishal…..keep up the good work…big time fan 🙂

  7. @ Shiv….if a journo were to receive material gifts from a company…would you trust his reports especially about their products downsides or lack thereof.

and isnt a flight in a fighter a/c such as the rafale or gripen a prettttty big gift (PS: what did it cost them to fly you…it would be good to know that…now i know its a tiny fraction of what it cost them to come here to AeroIndia..but still..)…

Such flights dont do much for your credibility…
