  1. Choice the fighter which is most capable of shooting down Pakistani cruise missile such Babur. My choice is Typhoon.
Pakistan has nothing to loose in war. We mind the best A0A fighter which can defend our skies at the time of war.

  2. That very mean of you, Shiv, poking fun at legendary fighters, BTW you have already flown all four of these.
Meanwhile could you tell us what is the road ahead?
IAF had done a good job. No matter US fighters are good & competitive matured platforms with operational experience, but at the end of the day crippling sanctions & tech denial of US can't be ruled out. If they are really serious about Indian defense market then act like CISOMA should be ruled out. At the same time, technology transfers must be there such as AESA radars & software code. Also, they should clearly come out with offset deals & potential offered to India. Merely LIP SERVICE won't do.
P.S. I do like F-18. It's a formidable platform & with international roadmap, very close to 5th gen fighter

  3. Really Typhoon? That one is in lots of trouble with its current operators ! The Rafale – I am sure – is too expensive and thats why no one else has bought it. WHich means we – the Indian Janta – are the usual patsies.

  4. MY CHOICE IS FRENCH RAFALE. BECAUSE LOW COST THEN EUROFIGHTER, LOW MAINTENANCE COST THEN EUROFIGHTER, GREATER WEAPONS LOAD 9500KG, MAX TAKEOFF WEIGHT 24500KG, COMBAT RADIUS 1800KM, SMALL THEN EUROFIGHTER, 15.27M/10.80M. RAFALE WOULD REQUIRE FEWER CHANGES IN THE EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE IAF WHICH TURN WILL REDUCE COST. FRANCE GIVE FULL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER INCLUDING AESA RADAR AND THE TRANSFER OF SOFTWARE SOURCE CODES,WHICH WILL ALLOW INDIAN SCIENTISTS TO RE PROGRAMME A RADAR. AND DESSAULT HAS ALSO OFFERED TO FIT THE KAVERI ENGINE INTO THE RAFALE. OPERATIONAL SUCCESS IN LIBYA IN OPERATION HARMATTAN. RAFALE HAVE BOTH (NAVAL AND AIR FORCE) CAPABILITY. DESSALT ALSO OFFER FAST DELIVERY UP TO 40 AIRCRAFT WHICH MAINTAIN IAF SQUADRONS VERY FAST.

  5. @ Karthik Soundarajan

thanks for that twin engined lca pic buddy. Looks sexy. Actualy that is the thing that we required. twin engine will remove all demerits of LCA such as thrust, rate of climb, turn radius and have a bigger nose for an asea radar.then there will be no mmrca.

  6. Excellent decision.

Now it should be possible that 126 Rafale and 77 EFT can be purchased to sharpen the cutting edge and for a quickest possible delivery.

BTW in case Rafale is costlier than EFT then these figures can be exchanged.
