IAF’s Jamnagar Base Gets Brand New Mi-17 V5s

DPR DEFENCE
Got this lovely shot today of a Mi-17 V5 being ceremonially inducted at the Jamnagar base in western India. A unit at the base that earlier operated old Mi-8s, now converts to spanking new V5s. Safe flight!

  1. Looks really good.

    Shiv,

Does India have any MRO facility for these helos? Or they go to Russia for any MRO or upgrade?

    Thanks

  2. Wastage of precious water for silly ceremonies in a semi-arid state like Gujarat …. simply not acceptable !

IAF …… please have a 'green policy' implemented !

  3. Look at these literate illetrates wasting water. Many people in India have no proper clean water to drink!! N they r wasting it on a chopper!!

    1. yeah right . They're wasting less water compared to what you would waste in you're bathroom while brushing you're teeth.
