Rare Footage In PR Film On India’s Biggest Warship Builder

Found this 2010 corporate video while spring-cleaning my hard drive. Was released around the time the first P17 frigate (INS Shivalik) was being commissioned. Lots of nice rare video of the inside of India’s largest builder of big warships, Mazagon Docks Ltd (MDL), including the Scorpene submarine line, the Delhi-class destroyers in sea trials and weapons tests. Best of all: Don’t miss the lovely old footage of the first Leander-class frigate Nilgiri during its launch.

Very valuable video and it should make any India very proud…
India should find partners in all important systems to improve their aerospace, navy, army, etc systems design and development, manufacturing, maintenance, etc capabilities…
PM says Indian coffers are empty so India can't keep buying everything…
A great job and thanks to Shiv Aroor for such an important post…

  2. Shiv,

Very good one and good watching these, I did checked in youtube I did find some shipyards video's. But not interesting as this one.

But I do have some questions in mind:

Why Cochin shipyard is not doing the construction of the IAC – I & II on schedule, why the Govt cannot share the works among the shipyards.
