@singam – Good focus for 2015. I would say the landing gear design and weight along with the finalization for the F414 GE engine delayed the program to a great extent.

The landing gear design and further testing being done for the 1st time is quite difficult task. Also, the airframe has to be reinforced to withstand the rigors of punishing carrier landings.

Bravo Zulu!! to the Indian Navy. In another 2 decades we should be having a complete Indian built Indian Navy. Lots to learn for the IAF which is buried in the quagmire of 'phoren' obsession.
