A Brand New Livefist!

As you may have noticed, Livefist has finally had the time for a make-over. As I write this message from Sweden, I’m happy to announce that Livefist has a new look and feel. But that’s not all it’s about, is it? Hundreds of you have written to me asking about the frequency of posts. This make-over is really the first step in many major plans for Livefist that I hope to reveal to you over the days and weeks ahead. For starters, I’m happy to share I’ll be back very much to the old frequency of posts and news. (My day job as Editor at India Today TV can no longer be an excuse!)

There are several new things I plan to do with Livefist that I will be rolling out shortly. These include a far greater degree of interaction directly with me, getting you the reader involved more directly in news events, getting your questions to the newsmakers and (and I’m especially excited about this) a military photo award. Expect the Livefist you’ve always come back to, plus a whole lot more.

As ever, thank you for your readership and your faith.

  1. Great improvement. But it would be even better if it were possible to open the links in a new window, obviating the need to go back to Home Page after every click on a link; as also save on data and, of course, there would be less stress on the server.

  2. Nice mod! Keeping eyes peeled for more action and interaction. I love the military photo award idea! I know this is serious biz but what about a spot for a Humour in Uniform-type cartoon? All the best!

  3. Shiv some inside dope – not Sarkari not official platitudes – on how the Su-30MKI vs F16 duels at Red Flag Alaska and other exercises went please if possible – and they’re flying against Block 60 Vipers in Dubai

  4. Hmmmm i sense Shiv is planing to launch India’s first 24h dedicated defence, security & aerospace TV channel…

    1. Mr Menon, this comments section is designed to be precisely for that. I’ll be keeping the conversation going as best I can. Do ensure you post your questions in the appropriate comments section.

  5. Why is India sending its top of the line Su-30 MKIs against the relic F-16s which India had discarded during the MMRCA Trials ? Can’t US field any better aircraft in the Red Flag exercises in Alaska which began yesterday.
Can’t we replicate the Red Flag exercises here in India ? * Only that we may not be able to spare that much of air space as the Americans have in Alaska)

  6. I am a regular reader of live fist for a long time now. I am impressed with the new get up though it isn’t a new concept. What i like in this is dating of head line. it helps to know the time period of the subject and helps you to quickly decide whether to read or not. You are only too aware DRDO has never stuck to their time schedules. Test dates/h/o dates are declared and after it is only silence. AEW&S was to be commissioned in September las then March this year. Only now it appears it will take another 18 months. I would be happy to interact and get informed of such delays the reasons for the same if possible. At least if the event has really taken place.

  7. there was a time for a few years I never missed LIVEFIST on daily basis then after your first revamping your blog little was available now again you have redesigned your blog BUT CONTENT IS MISSING what has happened have you been promoted or have lost interest — come on you are still a young man WORK HARD
