FIRST IMPRESSION: What The IAF C-17 Will Look Like

Got this neat bit of official Boeing art depicting the C-17 Globemaster III in Indian Air Force colours and livery. Will be at Long Beach, Home of the C-17 on Tuesday for a full update on the programme.

  1. Desi Journos are making millions by rubbing eloquence on Boeing's aircrafts . No wonder journos these days write only in favor of political parties & corporates.

  2. hey shiv do u think we really need a c17 i mean its a white elephant and what our troops need is transport helicopters and attack helicopters but not these american cheese

Actually we do need heavy transport jet or speed troop deployment and logistical support. Our current military infrastructure is not very adequate for rapid movement of military assets for Western front to eastern front. And give the mountainous terrain, difficult geography and bad road, aerial asset are the best option. And also we do need transport helos and attack helos no doubt.

  4. Whats with the lifefist watermark on the pic. Its not your creation, its boeings… So the watermark looks really odd.
You actually are doing a disservice to the picture. A small watermark at any one of the corners would have the picture retain its original grace, and quite possibly many a fans would have even set the picture as a desktop wall paper and not bothered with 'photoshopping' your logo.
Sadly, as the blog popularity increases, so does your ego. Forgetting that you are going to the visit not at your own but at boeings.
I would not be surprised that this comment is not published.
    Hope better sense prevails.

  5. Shiv, appreciate ur humility in undoing that watermark and accepting my comment above. The image is on my desktop as a wallpaper now. Kudos!
