  1. It is interesting to see the technician using garden gloves and that too turned wrong way around, while servicing the SU-30!

  2. thos gloves are high grip gloves similar to driving gloves…they are worn the correct way…its amazing how everyhing is assumed messed up when a brown man does it!

  3. that first photo is magical. look at the thrust wake fuzzing out the dear old il-78! and the other photos are wonderful too. just goes to prove that old adage. join the armed forces. see the world! jai hind and a big handshake from me to our REAL men in blue.

Well said. Look at the earmuffs, the smart uniform for the crew and the well maintained jets – these pics made me, as an engineer, very proud of the IAF. They are maintaining higher stds than 8/10ths of the top firms in the world when it comes to maint procedures.

    Go IAF!

If you look carefully at the pic with the airman with his red earmuffs, you can see the rubber dots on the gloves on both sides.

Even if they are seeing a pair of “Gardening Gloves” for the first time, I’m pretty sure our personnel have enough common sense and IQ (or the sense to ask someone) to figure out the right way to use the gloves.

    Chillax.

  6. Just love the Tri Colour arm patch ! I’m loving it ! Jai Hind !

On another note a tragedy has hit Red Flag at Nellis AFB, Nevada. My prayer for the deceased pilot and for the safety of our boys out there. God speed to them !

  7. Download the high res images from the link given above and you’ll see that those gloves are regular ambient temperature industrial safety gloves, not meant for high temp applications which obviously as the pic suggests is not.

  8. gardening gloves? brother, you need to get some glasses. and why the hell are you bothered about gloves anyway. focus on the photographs. and as shiv has rightly begun to term them as: “glory”. a visual treat if there was ever one. jai hind!

  9. Just wonder how even a simple set of snaps creates so much emotions in arguments! Seems like there are lot of people, with enough time to waste on these petty arguments. That includes me too..so let me continue 😉

What if he is wearing the gloves right or wrong, what does it prove? One person doesnt represent the entire country.. every other person may be doing it wrong.. or for that matter doing it right. This may be an isolated incident of being right or wrong. Who cares? What if I am that guy?
