The Navy has activated the diving teams of all the three Commands, the Headquarters Western Naval Command at Mumbai, Headquarters Eastern Naval Command at Visakhapatnam and Headquarters Southern Naval Command at Kochi. A total of 141 divers including 5 officers have been mobilised to provide relief and succor to those affected by the devastation caused due to the floods. 45 geminies (inflatable rubber boats) along with out board motors and other diving equipment have been dispatched with the diving team. On arrival at Purnea further relief operations would be co-ordinated by the state authorities.
