  1. Is the Al Zarar a T-55 copy? The turret looks funny, nobody uses turrets like those anymore. The design seems heavily borrowed from the T-55. No ERA either. Is this really a new tank, or something else rehashed? And does the Al Khalid have ERA?

  2. Considering what Probabiliy of kill the Arjun has and what its APFSDS is capable of, these tanks (with or without ERA) would be made mincemeat of if they ever faced it in battle..

its just unbelievable that the corruption in the Indian Army has sunk to a level that such an obvious fact as the superiority of the Arjun over this Russian and Chinese derived junk is not visible.

  3. My dear anonymous above. It makes no change to me whether my mom calls me sonu or rahul. T-55 is a vintage soviet as per today’s warfare a shit available only to make battlefield dirty. Wonder can these rats of desert even withstand a single RPG shot?
    Kudos to PA.

  4. Its pointless enteri ng into a debate about the Arjun now. The Arjun has its share of shortcomings too, and we all know that the Arjun will see only limited service in the Army.

  5. You never know. A new COAS comes and starts taking interest in Ajrun. And ultimately decides to make it a their mainstay…..I am optimistic because I have a feeling that current COAS is not a fare man. Something he did immediately after taking charge were fishy and had own mouth………..

  6. really crappy dirty facility..

    …by Western standards.

No waxed floor, stained work overalls, poor venitlation, and no visible first aid equipment.

  7. firstly my dear friends al-zarrar has never been said to be a new tank it is the name given to the upgarded type 59/T55 tanks which the Pak army has…. plz research more "geniouses"….. and also Mr. Kartik plz first research the actual accuracy of ur Arjun and not the one given in ur "maha bharta"….. this is not the mythical world ur so fond of and lastly plz first get atleast one of ur arjun tanks enrolled in ur army… from what ive read in " The Forecast International Weapons Group" u guyz have been having problems with target accuracy, engine reliablity, electronics, barrel chipping and some more which i cannot remember. Now are u planing on farting on Pakistani tanks to stop them or do u have some other secret weapon on ur tank which does not need the gun, the engine or the electronic suit??? bet u 50 bucks its taken by ur army and btw "really crappy dirty facility" is all u could come up with??? LOL waxed floors wudnt really help where tanks are to run! do u have perssian carpeting at ur facility? and deary its not a freakin food processing plant u know…..

  8. A re-built, upgraded variant of the Chinese Type 59 tank, Al-Zarrar is supposed to be a cost-effective replacement for the Type 59 fleet of the Pakistan Army. Equipped with modern armament, fire control and ballistic protection, the Al-Zarrar upgrade is also offered by HIT to the armies of foreign countries to upgrade their T-54/T-55 or Type 59 tanks to Al-Zarrar standard. 54 modifications made to the Type 59 make the Al-Zarrar effectively a new tank

  9. Dear Mr Anonymous Who Commented At 11:26 PM

Let me inform you one thing , Arjuns Are Already Operational With The Army .

You think Arjun Is Inferior ? 😀 It beat T90 in comparitive trials once . I know it is not as good as T90 but it is still better than even T80 UD of yours . Wait for Arjun MK2 to join Army , which i bet is even better than Al Khalid of yours .

Its time you understand difference between indigenous tank (Arjun) and your Chinese copies of MBT-2000 (Al Khalid) or T55 Copy Al Zarrar…

Its time you go look out for the Al Zarrar that was attacked during ops in SWAT and you'll notice its Tin Armour 😀

    Good Luck .
