  1. Be careful in Mumbai, shiv!

    What news of MV Alpha?

Anything found aboard? Ive been fretting about this for some time now. All the portents were bad.

    1. Media creating a large and divisive howl about hindu terror and army terror, without substantiation.

    2. ATS was pinned to a one point agenda, and distracted from their real work. At whose behest? Pragya and Purohit. That is all that they were allowed to work on. Whose fault?

    3. Over the last few months, a chaal has been played, where I am certain that antinational elements have engineered and used anomalies in the 6th CPC to divide various security forces along the lines of precedence.

    4. Said division has caused disorder in the chain of command, leaving neither police nor army sure whose in charge, and unwilling to accept the others authority.

    5. All sorts of things seem rotten in our R&AW.

The results seem to be evident.

  2. Shiv: Not only is this Mumbai attack war – it is also the single most ideal opportunity to tackle and resolve this issue once and for all.

It has been in the making for a long time.

The authorities now have carte blanche, with the entire nation and world behind anybody with the guts to do what needs to be done.

I am looking forward to your report on the matter with interest and hope the media as a whole push for a solution – and not get diverted with the blame game.

This was the last straw. Let us make it end now.

  3. Saw Arnab Goswami on TIMES NOW. He hit the nail on the head.

See how the crowds cheer when the army general arrives. This is the faith of the Indian people. He goes on to ask, why just a week ago people were questioning things as petty as why an Army man gets 24eggs a month ration, or 1500 rupees a month more than a babu working sitting in a govt building.

These men are ready to lay down their lives for the nation.

To the buggers who tried to divide the army and the police and the paramil using the sixth pay commission: screw off! There will be a reckoning.

  4. Dear Shiv,

The rescue and salvage operations during the ongoing terrorist attacks in Mumbai has once again brought to light the selfless service rendered by the armed forces even when their own lives are in peril. Isnt it silly and petty on part of our babus to deny the pay and perks that the armed forces are legitimately due even now.

  5. I am a little engine puf, puf, puf.

    Chiriya boli kut kut kut
    mujhe de do do biskoot
    bhook lagi hai khaoongi
    khaakar phir so jaaongi

    doodh malai rakhi hai
    par usmein to makhi hai

chalo aaj bhookhi hi so jaaon

  6. Shiv,
I just saw you loathing Israel for denouncing our premature storming by our commandos. What they said were actually true, coz we should have collected intelligence about the area, hostages and terrorists locations before full-frontal storming of the hotels. I think the botch was done by Mumbai ATS or MARCOS, who might have just gone in and engaged "people with guns" like tackling underworld gangs. In this case, it was a fully military trained commandos of Lashkar who did a Beslan/Moscow Theatre type carnage, in classic Al-Qaeda style. NSG who knows to play this game, but were brought too late into the engagement by mid-night. Perhaps they would have done it differently. It is also possible that collecting quick intel over a large area like Taj Mahal Hotel where there is 350+ rooms is not practical or
the standoff would have helped them to rig the building with explosives like Chechens do. Everything is debatable, but emotional criticism of Israelis is childish, they are experts in the game who are training our commandos & intel ppl in counter-terror & intel gathering. We have to respect their opinion, no matter how bad we feel about it. just my thoughts.

  7. US daily blames squabbling Indian leaders’ for terror attacks

New York (PTI): A leading US daily has blamed “squabbling” Indian political leaders’ failure to put national security above partisan politics for a series of terrorist attacks that the country has witnessed, saying its approach to terrorism has consistently been “haphazard and weak-kneed.”

“When faced with fundamentalist demands, India’s democratically elected leaders have regularly preferred caving to confrontation on a point of principle. The country’s institutions and culture have abetted a widespread sense of Muslim separateness from the national mainstream,” the Wall Street Journal said in a stinging commentary.

“The country’s anti-terrorism effort is reactive and episodic rather than proactive and sustained. Its public discourse on Islam oscillates between crude, anti-Muslim bigotry and mindless sympathy for largely unjustified Muslim grievance-mongering. Its failure to either charm or cow its Islamist-friendly neighbours — Pakistan and Bangladesh — reveals a limited grasp of statecraft,” the Journal said.

The country’s diplomats and soldiers have failed to stabilize the neighborhood, it said, adding that the ongoing attacks in Mumbai underscores the price both Indians and non-Indians caught unawares must now pay.

India’s leaders “who invariably swan around with armed guards paid for by the taxpayer” – can’t even agree on a legal framework to keep the country safe, it says, adding that on taking office in 2004, one of the first acts of the ruling Congress Party was to scrap a federal antiterrorism law that strengthened witness protection and enhanced police powers.

The Congress, it says, has stalled state-level legislation in Gujarat, which is ruled by the opposition BJP. And it was a Congress government that kowtowed to fundamentalist pressure and made India the first country to ban Mumbai-born Salman Rushdie’s “Satanic Verses” in 1988.

  8. Hi Shiv!
I hope you got your fill of the “war”.
It’s time we realised that everyday has to be treated as war till the nation has things under full control. Unfortunately, after their couple of days of attention, everyone will be back to same old routine and we will have another similar “war” on hand in a few months at another place.
Somebody rightly said “We deserve the politicians we have!” They will never learn to see beyond their short term electoral goals.

  9. This was an out cross border SSG commando raid. Dawood Ibrahim gave logistical support

    PAKISTAN MILITARY OBJECTIVES:

    1. Stop Pakistan Army fight its own cadres (embedded)in the Taliban along the Afghanistan border where it is actively engaged in destabilising Afghanistan.

    2. Create sufficient terror in India to increase the threat to Pakistan from India

    3. Shift the Pakistan Army regiments from Afghan border to the Indian border thereby facilitating active sabotage of Afghanistan and ensuring the (early)defeat and withdrawal of NATO / ISAF forces.

    4. That Kashmir elections are going on, gives it a perfect cover. People may mistake that this was a LeT operation for Kashmir. RED HERRING.

    5. There could be some “terrorists” with foreign passports. Jews were targetted and killed. This to show that this was an Al Qaeda operation and create sound bytes for the media. Make no mistake – these people were trained in Pakistan, and they were part of Pakistani army operation.

Sir, there are regular Pakistan army recruits and commandos embedded in Taliban and Al Qaeda – so much so that lines have blurred between Al Qaeda, terror groups, Taliban and Pakistan Army – ISI combination.

MAKE NO MISTAKE: ATTACK ON MUMBAI WAS A PAKISTAN ARMY OPERATION WITH CLEAR MILITARY OBJECTIVES.

  10. Time to settle the issue with Pak once and for all. This is war…make no mistake. We have spent billions and trillions on our armed forces and now is the time to utilize them.
    Jai Hind.

  11. You and your channel are a disgrace. Really dude, you were pathetic. Please find another job or just go back to writing.
