LiveFist Photos: Inside the ALH Dhruv for Ecuador

Took the opportunity to snap off a few of the cockpit of one of the ALH Dhruvs for Ecuador. Not quite sure why HAL has “Cobra” painted in Hindi in the front (though with a decidedly cool serpent!).

  1. but this thing cant even hover steadily! cant HAL do the finishing paint job properly?? is it neccesary that it should always be third class and sub standard?the floor exemplyfies dust….

The first sukhois which were made in russia had a different touch and feel whereas the new HAL made/assembled aircraft look as if all measures were taken to make it look rugged…….

  2. Wav! great to see ALH with glass cockpit! its amusing! on the first aid box its written in English and Hindi! i think its a goof up coz Ecqudorians can only speak spanish and a smattering of English,if i am not wrong!

  3. To the 1st Anon: The dust marks on the floor of the cabin are clearly made by people who haven’t rubbed their feet well before entering the copter :p

  4. prasun was claiming in his blog that he had insider info (actually telepathy) that the Ecuadorian Dhruvs did not hav glass cockpits..pity him….Shiv, can u give one more flying F to prasun?
