Reporting From Cope India 09
I’m leaving for Agra early tomorrow morning and will spend two-three days there reporting on Cope India 09 (CI09), the Indo-US transport exercise that will be looking to “evaluate the efficacy of joint operations in the realm of tactics, aero medical aspects and combat search and rescue (CSAR) missions involving medium and heavy lift transport aircraft.” The participating IAF aircraft include Il-76, An-32 and Mi-17 helicopters, while the USAF will participate with a C-17 Globemaster-III, a C-130J Super Herclues and and a C-130H transport aircraft.
