Reporting From Cope India 09

I’m leaving for Agra early tomorrow morning and will spend two-three days there reporting on Cope India 09 (CI09), the Indo-US transport exercise that will be looking to “evaluate the efficacy of joint operations in the realm of tactics, aero medical aspects and combat search and rescue (CSAR) missions involving medium and heavy lift transport aircraft.” The participating IAF aircraft include Il-76, An-32 and Mi-17 helicopters, while the USAF will participate with a C-17 Globemaster-III, a C-130J Super Herclues and and a C-130H transport aircraft. Stay tuned for reports and photographs. Obviously, I’ll be reporting live for Headlines Today.

  1. See? Now no one wants to hold fighter exercises with you, India. Every time someone does, you abuse their hospitality or guest status. When you do well you act like mister big shots and run to the newspapers to crow your 'victory', but when you don't do well, you act spoiled and childish and criticize the host for everything, including publishing the faces and addresses of the other air force's officers. Even here on Livefist, by the rubber lipped Shiv.

Who wants to invite you to anything good and exciting in the future, when you act like village bumpkins?

Poor form. No more fighter training for you. You get to play with transport aircraft instead. I hope you enjoy loading and unloading all exercise long.

  2. anon: either you're smoking something that all of us should have a share of, or you're plainly an idiot (i suspect the latter). the current exercise was planned last year, before red flag, and it was decided that after four fighter exercises, it was time to also venture into transport tactics. in fact early next year, there will be a battlefield support exercise involving helicopters and close air support assets of the USAF. dont make your ignorance a relic, thanks.

  3. 1st anon: dude during all those exercises it was your loud mouth USAF pilots who came out and made statements in the public to hide their incompetence and insecurities. While the IAF pilots, the professionals that they are never came out in public to either brag or defend themselves. n if you haven’t realized already the exercise is happening in India and we invited you and not the other way round. This time the format s different coz you guys didn’t want to get your superpower asses kicked once again!

  4. shiv,

the 'idiot' anon is none other than vincent…he often posts with the veil…but his content gives him away….

as usual he writes crap….and adds no value whatsoever….just yankee mongering….
