  1. Hi Shiv,
Landing Dhruv at Siachen was an achievement and the happier part is that the payload is far better than Cheetah ( As far as I remember).

When are you going to give us dope on weaponised Dhruv? It is important as we need to augment our armour fighting abilities and induct them in large numbers.

Any news on Helina? Last but not the least, Can i exchange jobs with you? You get to fly in Grippen and I get to slog myself with traders and stare at screen for Dollar fluctuations.

    Not fair.

    Warm regards

    Chandrabhan

  2. Great pic!

3 days back as I was travelling to office I saw an army camo skid version Dhruv hovering about a 100 ft above the Sarjapur-Marathahalli ring road. The bird was hovering over for what seemed like ages over a single spot.

From what I could make out it had a lot of measuring (or other sensor) equipment fitted. The equipment comprised of things which looked like stub-wings mounted near the side passenger door area on each side and a very prominent refueling probe like thing extending outward from under the nose.

Anybody have any idea what they were upto? This is the first time I'm seeing such a trial flight.

  3. @Anon 7:15, More money is a myth only. I rue for the days when a new shirt was well, a new shit (not a Hugo Boss or Armani ), gave loads of happiness. I wanted to fly in planes, wanted to be a taxi driver ( he gets to travel free) and so on. What am i doing? working excel sheets and looking at stupid Ad copies.

What is Shiv doing? Everything I wanted to do – Fly, travel and have fun and get paid for it too.

Enough of rant. Well any news on new orders for Dhruv and has someone being nailed for poor PR on Ecuador issue?

  4. dont understand why we need a tender to order 197 new multirole choppers when we already build and own the best in its class…we should simply order another 500 dhruvs and get it over it…this tender for europeters or bell etc…is useless. the Dhruv outperforms them all by a good margin.
