  1. What does "Rustom" mean?
Why did they have to name it "Rustom"; it sounds like a toy.
Just some positive nitpick from my part here…

  2. From what I remember Rustom name came from previous project director.

again whats in the name till the product rocks !!

  3. This picture of the rustom looks VERY different from the picture on wikipedia (which was taken during aero india, i believe). how come??

  4. Seriously Shiv, where did you get those??

Even a 10 years old would do a better job than these.

Seriously dodO needS to use little more than MSpaint. No wonder about the results.

  5. These designs are so amateurish. I am yet to see any professionalism in indian design. The Druv was good, but they screwed it by its adhoc weaponisation. LCH has a weird rear wheel sticking out of its arse and the sensors are fitted on top of its nose for some reason. Mostly shit designs …. don't even talk of the saras. Horrendous!!! Good it has been grounded.

  6. Hi Shiv,
    welcome back………….

    on a totally different topic…
was not the C-17 to arrive in India for a week long trail from the 21st onwards ???????? has it come……….

also, the Apache and M777 were also to come in at the same time for trials……….any news……..

  7. I dont see much comment.

    Somewhere Something is burning.

I can say one thing now to you guys…………… Success is at our door step.

  8. Hi,

INS Tarkash ( the 2nd of the new talwar-class ordered) was to be launched today in Russia………any photo's ?????

  9. One of the Rustom prototypes had crashed. Was it a Rustom 1 or Rustom 2?
Rusto 1 looks similar to a fighter designed by Burt Rutan, cant recall its name but saw it on Discovery channel

  10. Indranil,

You are right. It is a copy of Burt Rutan's Long-EZ. Some say NAL bought the rights from Rutan, and some say it was bought by NAL and just shamelessly plugged as indiginous design. I have seen the Long-EZ at my local airport and it is a marvelous design.
