  1. This baby is sexy!!

The landing gear changes are quite visible.

    Way to ADA, HAL.

Let success be with the planes you make.

  2. is it just me….or light combat aircraft is not LIGHT any more. the radome looks huge and somehow wings look like they belong to humming bird. any way, totally agree with AK Anthony……better late then never…. Good job HAL and kudos to Naval fighters

  3. Subhaan Allah ! Masha Allah !

Great to see Admiral Nirmal Verma standing on the elevation along with the Naval LCA.

  4. DAMN CUTE PLANE……this year is for DRDO ONLY…..

GO FOR FEW UPDATES ON KAVERI …

IF WE CAN SEE KAVERI AT 90 KN WITHIN 2-3 YRS DAMN WE MUST BREED LCA LIKE RABBITS AND CHURN OUT AT CHEAPER PRICES…..IT SHOULD BE NANO OF ALL THE PLANES….

IF NOT WE MUST MANUFACTURE THE LCAS ENGINE COMPLETELY INDIA …TO MAKE IT A NANO.

  5. hey shiv arrestor hook is not visible in these pics…can u post any image of lca navy showing arrestor hook…

  6. anon @4:32, I dont think he is a pilot…hes wearing the HAL tag on his chest. More than any one else, HAL employees/engineers who particularly worked on this project would have got more excitement out of it. Well done guys……

  7. Why is this a 2 seater aircraft? The conceptual images, even in the presentations show it as a single seater.

    Confused.

  8. What a proud moment! Sadly there will be no kickbacks, no commissions, no sanctions, no unforeseen price escalations, no bottles of scotch exchanged at some 5-star hotel! The naysayers and the go betweens who skim the cream off milk will have to cool their heels or find something else useful to do! Let us put the agents out of business with new launch everyday.

  9. THE IAF MUST BE JELEOUS OF THE NAVY BECAUSE THE NAVAL LCA IS MUSCH MORE IMPROVED THAN THE IAF ALSO IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN SOME TIME BACK I HAD READ THAT THE IAF WAS INTERESTED IN THE NAVAL DESIGN MORE THAN THE IAF BUT I AM HAPPY HOPE TO SEE THE PLANE ON THE IAC SOON

  10. Thanks a lot for the pics..just one question, where is probe & drogue…it was in the concept pic..i don't see it here..is the aerial refueling part of lca now or is it part of mkII…

  11. Humility is evidently not a manifested Indian attribute even when claims to laurels are specious. A perfect example of political grandstanding by DM Anthony when the actual product is years away if ever. The LCA – any version of it have been going through countless tests with induction deadlines being pushed into the distance. Instead of holding the scientists, production planners to their deadlines, DM Anthony is partying in abandon.
    What is he partying about?
I am looking forward to the party India will throw when the Snecma-Kaveri engine gets operationalised, when the avionics are indigenised, the many small items that we purchase from abroad and make our nation subservient to foreign forces.
The party I would like to attend and wave at would be where we can build everything right to the smallest screw … a fifth generation aircraft. Unfortunately, that too is a joint production.
I saw the video of the first test flight of PAK-FA. Of course, it was just a minor event attended only by the Sukhoi head Mikhail Pogosyan, not even the Defense Minister.
    What are we celebrating?

  12. I was waiting for pilot to eagery thrust his hips and a fat heroine to emerge from the rear seat in a bikini. Given this is a HAL show, you have goota expect such 'production values'. Still, not a bad show, good laughter. This is why the services do not want products made by HAL/DRDO.

  13. I did not see, I forgot what you call is it auxiliary air intakes?

Any ideas why? Did they not work out for Airforce version? or they have already fixed the engine intake issue in this one.

  14. Shiv , do you remember last year you posted that Tejas will be renamed as HF – XX (HINDUSTAN FIGHTER ) . like HF – 24 MARUT . any news on that ????????? i would love to rename it as HF – 71 or HF – 99 . Tejas is bit a old school type .
