  1. Bahut kaam kar liya ab thoda mood banaya jaaye. Probably discussing the shortest route to the nearest restaurant after tiring day work.:)

  2. LCA, FGFA, LCH etc and their induction schedule. Hopefully no more altering the initial requirements on these products so that they can be matured and inducted speedily. The raksha mantri ji has made it very clear to the armed forces to focus on indiginious technology so there could not have been too much negativity in the room. Good luck to both and hope they work as a team here forward.

  3. Acceptance of F-16 or F-18 or F-35 looming large in the sky. To be or not to be with them and if not to be, then how to survive in case of such a scenario. Lol…

  4. I don't like PPatil. She is clueless about any intellectual discussions. She would have been better off managing her sugar factory boards in Maharastra and being a gundi.
    I miss Dr.Kalam here.

Men in blue look scary and men in suits look as if they are caught while their socks are up.

  5. ACM Naik is a tenacious and pugnacious person and is known to be a ruthless about standards – as the joke goes "ACM Major and ACM Naik use the same knife – only diffce, Major saab uses the straight edge, while Naik saab uses the serrated edge."

The mood in the room? I can see the HAL guys sweating – the mood is certainly FOUL

  6. Given a choice the CAS would have shot dead all the HAL jokers sitting in front of him, for he knows what they speak and what they deliver are two different things. But he also knows that the Men in Blue has to wait patiently for some more time, before Antony & Co, would act, and put HAL at its place. Corruption, nepotism, infighting and what not… Shiv Aroor… I have been following your reports from your Express days and why not shift your attention on HAL after speaking with IAF, Army and Navy officials to know the truth. Things are getting worse in HAL.

  7. 1) IOC Plan for LCA Tejas
    2) Finalization of requirements for LCA Tejas Mark II
    3) AMCA – initial discussions about requirements – above and beyond LCA Tejas Mark II
    4) FGFA – Spec Discussions and Time-lan
    5) ASAE Redar / Snecma-Kaveri Engine Trials at Russia (Slated to begin this October – wonder whats the progress)

  8. As per news available on other forum, this MEETING was on the maintenance, of IAF aircraft which is done by HAL.

The meeting also discussed about time schedules and product quality.

This meeting was held in Delhi as part of the ongoing commanders conference

"IAF holds talks with HAL for better aircraft maintenance"

  9. I hear the main issue raised here was on the quality(or lack thereof) of aircraft maintenance by HAL. To that I would like to raise the issue as to why HAL and HAL alone should get the maintenance contracts for the two-dozen-odd plane types in the IAF inventory.

The IAF would have more of a bargaining power in such meetings if firms like Tata Aviation and Mahindra's new aerospace division were allowed at least some aircraft maintenance contracts.

  10. 60 odd years of "independence" and we have to drink bottled water made by a foreign company ! WOW ! That shows why the mood is grim :))

  11. COAS:"HAL TEJAS took more than 2 decades, & yet to get a IOC, Kaveri engine same story, & know your Medium Combat Aircraft, how long will it take to roll out."

HAL:"We will roll out the 1st prototype, within 6 years. Promise".

COAS Naik: "How many 0's do you want me to add next to the 6. 2 zeros or 3 zeros"

  12. At least she is better than what we have in Pak……All the indian guys (apart from the chief) look feminine…is this normal in india?
