  1. To the anon at 3:59 – my precise question. My guess too is that this is Arakonam. Was trying to see the ARK or DAB ident on the tail of the beast but couldn't make out the details.

  2. @ Spanky,

That's it. The way this story is being played up all over it seems we are going to ask for Aksai Chin in return for this favor.

The Chinese don't even recognize it. WTF!

  3. Although I feel myself to be an utter humanitarian, but I think that no humanitarian help should be extended to either Sino or Pak. Any kind of such help may not only go waste in the materialistic world but may be counterproductive even in the spiritual world. There are 197 other nations to help them if the genuine need be.

At this stage any Indian help is going to make them more and more arrogant only.

We too will be helping them when we get back Pak and free Tibet.

  4. To all dumb people above:
The Indian navy`s TU 142 scared off the pirates and they left the Chinese ship and ran to there mother ship.
They were actually rescued by NATO task force and Chinese Marine task force.
TU 142 left that place(after 4 hours) only after ensuring that NATO and Chinese forces were nearby.

  5. Chinese newspaper like Xinhua said that 'USA saved Chinese MV'!!!
WTF We help them out and this is how they repay us! Thankless bastards.

  6. @Me Ra,
We should not get sentimental on such things.Job done, move on!
But i agree on Pakis!!!The only aid we should give them is rope if they promise to hang themselves with it.Even then we will have to be careful that at least once, they will try to play some tricks with the rope!

  7. @ Ranbir ,,Chinese are thankless creatures… All chinesse newspapers talk about the ameican and Turkese and chinese Navy saving theire ship, which was actually saved by Indian TU-142.. IN should think twice b4 goig to help a Chinese shit shack…in future…On my part i have clearly put various protests comments in Chinese Jurnos /sites talking about how thankless pepole they are ..And i fouund that i was not the only one to protest…amazing..

  8. >>Chinese newspaper like Xinhua said that 'USA saved Chinese MV'!!!

May be Chinese MV were shit scared that Indian aircraft was dropping a torpedo…and finally sighed relief after the aircraft ran away once USA/NATO/Turkish navy started approaching Chinese MV.

So as per your account the pirates ran away after Tu142 reached the point. The plane flew in circles for 4 hours till the nearest rescue teams were around. These rescue teams it so happened, were of US, Chinese, Turkish and God-knows-what origin. Fine.

Maybe we are too dumb to realize that our contribution to this drama was almost negligible. Not fit enough to be mentioned. In other words the IN plane hung around to watch the drama unfold and did not participate in the action there. The pirates ran away scared on seeing it but then this was their problem. We are not supposed to be scary. Hmm… we truly are dumb, Sir. You are the man with balls full of brain.

Now let us look at the act of rescue itself. A plane of this nature can not land on the ship or drop men on board to wipe the shit off chinki bottoms. It did what it could do best by hovering around and its mere presence was enough to drive away the pirates. I guess that was rescue. The rest of the guys just cleaned up the mess. Again I apologize for the sheer stupidity and dumbness of people posting here.

Finally, it is too much for the Chinese to bear that IN has a backyard that it can police well. To be saved by the arch enemy for them is a dishonor worse than death.

  10. anon@11:05 AM,your apologies for your dumbness is well accepted. Now that you have proclaimed yourself dumb,I take it upon myself to enlighten you.Firstly, the TU was the first to locate the ship.Secondly,as she circled around the ship she was also warning the pirates who left before the NATO ships came to help.Thirdly, the pirates were not as dumb as you are and when told that ships are on their way, they moved away.fourthly,Tu can drop bombs………..On a parting note,I admire your courage…………It really takes someone brave to admit and prove his dumbness so publicly…..

  11. @anon 11.05 I think u must enroll yourself to Kinder Garden..
I never said that IN`s role was negligible enough to be mentioned.. The ship was saved by Indian navy from getting captured by Somali pirates and the sailors were rescued by NATO and Chinese marine forces and Chinese transport ministry has thanked IN for saving that ship..
And finally must say you are man of courage, acknowledging on public forum of being dumb.
    Hats off to you:P

  12. BEIJING: Acknowledging the Indian Navy’s effort in rescuing 24 Chinese sailors from a ship hijacked by Somali pirates, China on Monday said it was working out a new security plan to protect its vessels and crew members from such attacks.

The Chinese vessel MV Fu Cheng, registered in Panama, faced a pirate attack 450 nautical miles off the Karwar Coast of Karnataka while it was on its way from Jeddah to Tuticorin port on May 6. The Indian Navy swung into action after receiving an emergency call from the Chinese authorities and thwarted the attack.

"It was thus the navies of other countries, Turkey’s and India’s among them, that helped to drive away the pirates and escorted the ship to safety," Xu Zuyuan, Chinese vice-minister of transport, said. This is for the first time that a top Chinese official acknowledged the Indian Navy’s efforts to save the ship.

At present, 51 sailors from China are in the custody of pirates, state-run ‘China Daily’ quoted Xu as saying. He added his ministry is now trying to learn what other measures can be adopted to strengthen ships’ defences and mulling over options like paying security service companies to station guards on board.
