US F-35 Offer Comes Up In Indian Parliament

“The US has not offered India a partnership in the development of the world’s most advanced fighter plane, F-35 joint strike fighter,” Indian Defence Minister A.K. Antony told Parliament today. Enigmatic? Not really.

  1. So does this mean, AK Anthony would go with whoever who gives partnership in the development??…Looks like he almost indicated that Typhoon would be the winner!

  2. If we asked for it I'm fairy sure they WOULD offer it. In fact if it was banned from being sold to India then it wouldn't even appear for RFIs like the Indian Navy's. So it's certainly available if we want it.

My advice is, if AMCA is delayed by decades just like LCA then scrap it and buy the F-35.

  3. AMCA hasn't even been born yet. If it ends up the same way as the LCA we're better off buying F-35 than waiting for it. Else the rest of the world will already have 6-th gen fighters while we induct our 5-th gen.
