Nice to get this message , it its in hand of good why regularly gets accident , upto know we lost 3 nos , even pak f-16 is much moreeeee older than su30 , but comparison rate is not good in our side . as per mig 21 , chinese have even mig19/mig21 version in their fleet but accident rate is not at all comparable to HAL's feeble serviceable mig's , our mig 21' pet name as per media is flying coffin.
once Russian hi official says – india purchased low/seconds hand spares for mig 21 , while russia offered new spares , due to our unfamous babus low quality products have been added in mig21 , that made great loss to our country .

why HAL uses low quality spares? Soviet union no longer exists!!! even Russia can not supply brand new spares, because some of the companies which manufactured MIG-21 spares are now in CIS states and shut down. All rosboronexport selling to India is either cannibalized or refurbished items at exorbitant prices. Blame HAL for spares manufactured in-house for which it has license from erstwhile USSR,so that Russians can sell the same at 100 times the actual cost!!! its an arm twisting technique!!! Can anybody single out a particular component when a MIG-21 crashes and trace it to HAL?

TO SUM UP ALL THESE THINGS, ITS PRETTY EVIDENT THAT WE NEED TO PUT MORE EFFORTS IN TO R&D AND TO DEVELOP THE PRODUCTS WE NEED IN-HOUSE, A LIVE EXAMPLE IS TEJAS.

    ALSO A MISC NOTE:

    JF17: ASSEMBLED JET
    TEJAS: MANUFACTURED THROUGH R&D.

    HOPE THIS CLEARS THE POINT

well when we see the numbers its not favouring IAF. We know that there are lot of countries including our neighbors flying mig19,21 or its variants. they dont show this much crash prawn history. Indian mig21 have earned the pet name flying coffins and pilots flying them are considered very brave. who can we point out? is it poor careless maintenance of IAF? since i am from a military family i dont think so. we dont expect military workforce to be lousy as rest of government employees. I think IAF to one of the best disciplined force in world. Well IAF have enough mig21 crashes to conduct a detailed studies about its cause and rectify it.

    It is a brave show.

However based upon the three such incidents, they should find out the reasons with scientific analysis and march ahead for the corrective actions.

    @shiv

just got a massive shock from Ajai Shukla.

The 2 ladders in the image show practically show the price paid for each of the them, which are in thousands, when they should have been in hundreds.

Do you think there is a whiff of scam in that

    Thanks

Other countries retire and replace aircraft even before they finish their operating lives and even spend billions on quick stopgap purchases.

Our MOD(courtesy of the Honourable Comrade Antony) forces the IAF to fly planes that are over 10 years past their intended lifespans and takes 6 years to decide on long-term replacement purchases.

If only BJP had been in power for another year the deal for 120 more Mirage-2000s that was being contemplated in 2003 would have been signed before this MMRCA circus started.

Congress tussi great ho! Sickular crime, corruption, lethargy and incompetence!

The SUKHOI-30 MKI strength will be capped at 269 provided no more planes are lost. what was the reason for this crash near Pune? Moreover the MKIs are tuned to be upgraded into Super Sukhois. after every crash there is a popular feeling as to how many aircraft would remain even while upgradaton is in process.Mirage 2000 upgrade would finish only by 2018 or even later bythen last of the jets would be much older . same is the case with Mig-29 recently there was a fulcrum crash. governments over the last two decades delayed the procurement of jet trainers.
