India needs two full squadrons of the C-130Js, not 12 but 36 of these versatile birds for tactical operations – one squadron stationed at Hindon & another squadron in Panagarh.

for everyone who support buying eastern european junk from russia and ukraine….must watch bbc documentary called Panorama Stadiums of Hate. Beating, abuse of Indians is rampant there. Racism is out of control. Why gift hard earned money to those…

Can someone explain what is so special about landing in another airbase. Maybe some joker needs to be promoted, so this 'achievement' has to be highlighted.

    Shiv,
Another Lockheed product, the Super Constellation used to land at Carnicobar regularly. They did a "Carnicobar courier" in the 60s an 70s.
My father did a lot of those – I remember him getting a lot of coconuts from Carnic!

    Shiv,
This is not the first Lockheed product in IAF hands to land in Carnicobar. Lockheed Super Constellations of 6 Squadron IAF used to land here all the time. In fact they ran the Carnicobar courier service.
My father flew quite a few of these.

Car Nicobar. Airfield has been in use by the IAF for more than 50+ years. DC3 Dakotas, AVRO HS748's used to fly in all the times. Later even the Boeing 737s
