The last time I did a Cut Throttle toon was in 2011! I’m going to try and put out at least one a week from now on. This picture just jumped out at me 🙂

  1. NSR says —

The main and biggest reason why India is in such a mess is because it failed to carry forward the good and established Marut HF-24 aircraft program…
It had engine leakage problems and needed just little money to bring in experts and design a fix but Nehru and especially Krishna Menon with their anti-imperialist attitudes did not approve and most of HF-24 aircraft were mothballed…
Sheer travesty of justice, technology, etc to closed down a well developed infrastructure…
India will go nowhere until it develops its own aerospace infrastructure and workforce, especially, aero engines, avionics, radars, etc…
India has pretty good missile and bomb capabilities and they can take them to ultimate…

So in essence politicians, MOD, IAF, and HAL must work together to develop aerospace like space business…

    No other way to go…

  2. Hi………..

Nice to see your new "Look"…

From what I have been given to understand is that Raha is a 'Yes-man" (AKA's choice)….and will do what the Mantriji says………

    So………is that true ???

What "deals" do you expect will get signed in next 2-3 months ??

    AirForce: 126 (or 40) Rafales ? 15 – CH-47 Chinooks ?? 6 – A-330 MRRT's ?? 22 – Apachee's ?? Honeywell engines for Jags ?? more Spyders ??

    Navy: 16+ MRH's ?? 4-6 P75i (more Scorpene's) ?? 8-10 Korean Minesweepers ?? SeaHake torps ?? Sonar arrays ??

    Army: 145 – LW Howizters; Spike/Javelin ATmissiles ?? 197 Eurocopters ??

What is you take on all this………

  3. Just look at the expression on the officers face behind the left hand of Air Force Chief. That tells all. When ever you speak to the IAF guys about HAL you get that look.

  4. HAL is supported with enough money to create or develop required infrastructure, lets see what the HAL's NASIK & Bangalore facilities are going to fetch the Country and IAF. Unless they make any serious work they cannot complete the Tejas MK-II even in 20 years.

  5. I was wondering if HAL should semi privatized like 49 percent in stock exchange and rest 51 percent with LIC and other financial institution LnT can make it better

Shiv please censure satish Chandra he ruins the comment section of ur posts

  6. Shiv,

You really need to remove/ban comments by this joker who goes by the name of "Satish".

They are tasteless and totally out of place out here, and waste so much of real estate in the comments section.

  8. The best thing about HAL is that they try to master the same technology time and again and every time they start from the scratch..
