    1. You are not climbing a hill from above. It is impossible for any country.Military hardware takes time. Don't mind the Chinese their indigenous hardware is yet to be tested on a war, then we will know its real quality.

  1. They could have painted the lower part black and called it a taxi. Come now, what was wrong with the earlier digital camouflage. Sigh!!, understanding HAL is beyond me. Otherwise this piece seems to be quite a beast. Could never tell from previous TD1 and TD2 pics that this chopper was so large. All the best and hope the IA gets their hands on a few too.

  2. the yellow colour is for high visibility….its a technology demonstrator…no one will come to bomb it…so why camo it

  3. To Anon @3:10PM – Ofcourse not, if it is, we wouldn't be buying both LCH & Apache. Because they are two different classes of attack helicopters – LCH is light while Apache is medium/heavy. LCH will be the mainstay as per current plans with a total of ~180 choppers for IAF & IAAC while Apache will be the icing on the cake with 22-61 units providing aerial support for the Strike Corps' Armored formations.

  4. To Anon @3:50PM – You do realize that the yellow color is only a primer, don't you? The chopper will be painted in camouflage (or any uniform color the services desire) when it actually enters service. The digital camo was only a concept for that particular air show. It's not very likely the services would go for that – most probably it will be a light grey like the present Mi-35 Hinds.

Its a Technology Demonstrator (TD), so it doesn't matter which skin color it has. Think before criticizing someone or something.

Great pictures and wish them well…They need to hurry up and get to IOC…3 years between each article is a bit toooo loooong…Hurry up before you lose it out to foreign helos…

  7. It's primer and anti oxidation coating you morons. How many of you actually passed fifth standard? How many of you live in a city with any education whatsoever?

  8. Cool down folks. It's only a TD. HAL boys will keep it that way and drain the resources. We all know what happened to many projects they lay their hand on.

  9. Shiv, is that last picture of the team that designed the chopper or are they the assembly/maintenance folks? They look so young. Also, the team is so small. It's amazing if DRDO can do so much with such a small group of people!
