hi..can any one explain me the meaning of ‘affiliation’ as given in the article??
I have a question….why do we need to name our regiments on the basis of caste in a secular country. Isn’t it ridiculous…..
From what I gather, affiliation in the context of this ceremony means that the Jat regiment of the Indian Army will train with the crew of the INS Trishul of the Indian Navy and be ready to jointly fight when needed. This is important because many times the army, the navy and the air force seem to be in competition with each other and lose coordination which affects operations and operational readiness.
