They changed the design.
Good design. Thanks shiv for the updates. Waiting for brochures and videos.
design now mature
Gotta say… that does not look as maneuverable as the RVV-AE.
Seems to be MK-II design..We have seen ASTRA in trials and that was different..
Hey shiv – how come Headlines Today – which sends reporters to cover Yediyurappa shedding crocodile tears cannot send a team to Aero India to do a report on the brilliant flying displays?
Airframe wise ASTRA MK-2 looks like an entirely new missile. Mk-1 was more like MICA, this one is more like a cross between AIM-120 and DERBY. However nose cone of ASTRA MK-2 is unique.
looks like it is optimized for internal carriage for both FGFA & AMCA…
Looks like made in USA (on a positive node).
This is the Astra-2 to be tested later in the year.
This is most probably 100km+ Astra-2 that Dr.Gollokota alluded to in his talk in the seminar.
am I mistaken ? where the the display pic does it say its some astra version???? or everyone believes it jst cuz the heading?
This is Astra-2..I think..
Because the captive trial of astra in su-30mki dont have this designs either.
So definitely this is a new design
This is Astra-2. Any more info?
