Shiv what happened to the SAM version of the AAD
Awesome is word to describe this achievement of DRDO and its scientists. Well done
The second video is marvelous. Pin point accuracy.
Question @ Shiv:Can these Interceptor missiles target & destroy the new generation of missiles like the Terrain Hugging missiles (read Babur from Pak)?
I guess all the test done so far are for missiles which have a high angle of approach.
Jaw = Dropped…This is the biggest proof that given a proper chance India can manufacture most cutting edge weapons. We shall focus more on indigenous weapons. And for this – Many many congrats to DRDO. You guys really rock.
Who says drdo is a sitting duck… Great piece of work by our scientists. We should collaborate with us and israel to further improve our system. Once operational pakistan will be a forgotten story with no tooth.. Great job done.
The 2nd video probably showing a proximity fuse interception and after the interception some thing resembling the simulated ballastic missile flying its trajectory. Well i played the video with 0.25X speed and have come to such conclusion . cau you please enlighten me ??
@shobhit , its a BDM test !!Trajectory of ballistic missile can be calculated from its boost phase and so is its interception although MIRV and quasi ballistic missiles can make things tough. Cruise missiles defense is altogether different challenge which can incorporate some elements of BDM but the kill vehicle have to be different.
Whatever it is, it is good.
Has any of the ABM tests by DRDO involved maneuvering targets? One may expect such type of targets in today's scenario.
Nice ! here in Brazil we are using stones to intercept …we just have Russian Igla ….
