I am sitting here and thinking of 20 years back where the very thought of a C-17 in IAF colours would not be possible, or even laughed at.
Stratigic geopolitics surely does change with time.
Superb aircraft! These are the best in the world. The IAF now has strategic lift capability & coverage from Kashmir to Andaman & Nicobar Islands / Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh in matter of a few hours deployment.
The IAF should land it in tough terrain like the DBO and show its capabilities.
