    Man you're the best….!!!

Wwwwhat a ship…. have these goosebumps all over. The thrill of watching the video is comparable to if not more than watching INS Vikramaditya…govt should certainly push more funds to Naval arm… we need more such giants in service to guarantee our security!!

Shiv, Hope you will get us the Arihant photos/vids out soo too.. way to go buddy.. well done!!

Great news! Still, can't help notice that the forward funnel is already causing soot buildup on the main radar mast. Wonder how they will sort that issue out.
Also, wondering if the hot exhaust gas will interfere with rear-quarter radar coverage.

    Shiv,

It seems you have misplaced the pictures. These ship pictures are of P-28 and the P-28 pictures are of P-15A.

This one does not have Sensors and CIWS and only 32 SAM launchers. It also has old Thales LW08 radar. While other one looks heavily armed.

    Check the picture again.

Any body can see the smoke from the funnel at the last picture. This ship suppose to be stealth but she is showing visible sign of smoke!! Why cant we just install a scrubber ( installed in many commercial ships) and wash the gas. It will eventually reduce the heat signature also.

Scrubbers are only for reducing air pollution, never for infrared suppression. If the exhaust is cool, even if it is slightly polluted, is it desirable.

All navy ships in the world emit smoke like this when run at engine max power to get short speed bursts (well, except nuclear-powered). During regular cruising, there is not much emission.

The Kolkata class of Destroyers will be a game changer for the Indian navy. She is the first of the next generation of naval vessels that will incorporate high amount of stealth and will be armed to the teeth. Proud of our navy and the strides that we are making. Wishing the navy the very best.

Is there an independent body that evaluate these designs? Otherwise we could be wasting invaluable resources!
