1st In-Service Crash Of Indian Nishant Drone

A Nishant UAV of the Indian Army crashed today at the Chandan Village in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer District — the first service accident involving the indigenous surveillance platform. A test UAV platform crashed in around the same area a few years ago. A technical snag forced Army operators to attempt an emergency parachute assisted landing, but as these photographs show, things didn’t work out, the Nishant sustained severe damage.

  1. Nishanth looks like a engineering project for final year students it does not qualify for work done by scientists. The design is not refined. When i look it has no aero dynamic features.

  2. This shows the status of the DRDO. What a crappy machine after spending billions of public money. Chinese made 2000$ once are much better than this.

Please stop all this nonsense. fire all this DRDO dumbos. or pay them only if they deliver.

  3. Amateur aviation enthusiasts in western countries make better radio controlled miniature aircraft's than this. Mediocrity seems to be a norm, does anyone even reviews/test the products that they churn out from DRDO/HAL.

  4. Aur kitna stretch karoge sirji.. TV serial jaisa..kab aaraha hi Tejas report? Hope the content stands good after all this delay….

  5. This UAV looks very third world, no attempts have been made to streamline the contraption, looks like it was made using card board and possibly plywood and made by class 10 students. But had we taken help from Israelis things would have worked out differently.
