I HOPE ALL THE EFFORTS PUT IN BUILDING THIS ENGINGE AND INFRASTRUCTER BEAR SOME FRUIT TO THE INDIAN DEFENSE INDUSTRY.
Is it back from High Altitude testing from Russia.
Will it also be powering the MCA?
But, …………. what in all this works and what needs help?
looks like we are trying learn to from wrong company i.e. Snecma. plz watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pz_vDOrqOOQ&feature=channel
ohh boy.. what is it with you Shiv.. Post some thing new..
Go the banglore. get some LCA updates and every one will be happy. or else call some one and get updates for us.
this we can all find it in the drdo magazine…
Whats the point in simply lifting off stuff from DRDO tech focus news letter?
Please update us on how well is the planned flight test in russia progressing.
How about some coverage of the Arjun Tank now. Of late there has been enough of aviation reporting.
Great pics but when will this engine power the tejas
Use it in UCAVs. Let's continue developing it further. Delegate some of the research workload to universities. Also create versions for power generation turbines AFTER the marine version is developed.
Kaveri Engine is a classic case of the ineptitude of the fraud organisation called DRDO. If they have any shame, they must wind up and GO.They'll do a great favour to this country.
Hey! firstname.lastname@example.orgAM. very scary video! All is not well in the US of A! what a ghost city detroit has become? The moral of the video is Hello GTRE! if you dont comeup with a working KAVERI…you will be turned soon into a ghost!
Shiv, any update on Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS)? When will be the first satellite launched?
GOOD PHOTOS SHIV
Why don't you pay a visit to GTRE and get some updates .
"looks like we are trying learn to from wrong company i.e. Snecma. This may give u a ideaSnecma M88 is an afterburning turbofan engine developed by Snecma for the Dassault Rafale fighter."
First of all, Snecma has a higher thrust version of the M88 already in development, but the French Gov stopped the funding, because they don't have the money and don't think they need more thrust. That's why they offered UAE, who said they need more thrust in hot climates, the co-fund the new M88-3 with 90kN.Secondly, the EF and the F18SH needs highter thrust, because they are way heavier! Rafale weighs only 9t, whereas the EF is 2t, the F18SH nearly 5t heavier. So even with M88-2 engine and 75kN thrust, the t/w ratio of Rafale is only slightly inferior to EF, but better than the F18SH.
To mr Aroor
Can you confirm 81kN afterburner thrust of the Kaveri engine, because in the latest reports about it, talks only about 65kN.
"Meanwhile, the Tejas fighter also turned out heavier than planned, demanding a more powerful engine; the Kaveri’s maximum thrust of 65 Kilo Newtons (KN) is simply not enough."
I saw this Kaveri engine when i came to bangalore on an excursion in 1970s
Well it's a great job to develop such a high technology engine in our country I m feeling proud. Now we have a reasonable chance of R&D to upgrade this engine…
One more failure of the fraudy DRDO. They are the babus of science, do nothing but get full salary. Cann't make or best reverse engineer an engine. Why are they still being employed on tax payers hard earned money.
Hi Shiv any update on the development of Kaveri engine is DRDO working on qualitative requirement of Kaveri engine as requested by Indian Navy or is it the same old story? Is it feasible to develop kaveri engine or buy engines from abroad
