If a Lt. and Lt. Cdr are missing, there is something seriously wrong with the refit or upgrade. We never heard of such incidents prior to their refit.

Maybe its just that Kilos are at the end of their useful life and need to be replaced. Off course, this doesn't explain all the other accidents with surface ships.

navy chief resigns….it seems at least someone has the guts to come up and take responsibility…..but alas we lose one trained and talented commander….the problem would continue to persist.

Its a sorry state of affairs in the IN. A navy chief of a country had to resign to make a senseless UPA government see some sense in putting up with creaking, cracking age old junks.

A 58000 strong Indian Navy, smallest among all major powers, is asked to defend 7500 km of coast, and millions of km of EEZ. Is there shortage of people in India for Naval jobs?

How come Indian Army is bloating and bloating to now 1.5 million people?

Who allows these haphazard management and policies?? Will RM AK Anotny own up and resign also? Has anybody told him that he is the worst defence minster of India after Menon? He frittered away 10 year of rare peace!!!
