PHOTOS: President Reviews Indian Navy Fleet (Part 1)

Just got back ashore from the President’s Fleet Review (PFR) 2011 off Mumbai. I was on Sukanya-class patrol vessel INS Sharda. Not many better ways to spend a Tuesday morning. Will post all the photos I took in batches.

From top: aircraft carrier INS Viraat, stealth frigate INS Tabar, Class-209 submarine INS Shankush, Kilo-class submarine INS Sindhuratna, INS Viraat, Sea Kings over a frigate, from INS Sharda, Project 17 frigate INS Shivalik and Delhi-class destroyer INS Mysore.

  1. At Anon 2:23,
Watch it tomorrow (wednesday,21 Dec) at 9:30 am on DD National.
    Dont miss this time.

  2. While this president got her massive ego massage, hope somebody else kept an eye on the coastline.

Hopefully the next president will be inspirational just like Kalam to young and old, male and female and of all faiths.

  3. SHiv,

I saw some fantastic marine commondo's protecting the presidnet.. I was expecting some pix of them and their weapons. Wondering if you captured any pix?

    Thanks!

    Sachin

  4. Superb pics. I just love the INS Mysore picture. Can't wait to see INS Vikramaditya among them soon.

Just a quick question. I can see there anchor down. So that mean they are not moving ?

IF you have a picture of all Delhi class destroyers please do post it.

    Cheers
